In the fast-paced commercial hubs of the Middle East, business growth is usually discussed in terms of hard metrics: profit margins, customer acquisition, and rapid scaling. But behind the polished corporate updates and successful funding rounds lies an unglamorous reality that few talk about openly.
“Entrepreneurship can often feel lonely and emotionally heavy behind the scenes,” says Ranjitha Raghavan, an International Business Profit Coach and the founder of Impact Wave Coaching & Consulting.
Based in Dubai, she has spent years working across industries, ranging from heavy engineering to eco-friendly manufacturing, and has arrived at a simple, grounded realization: a business cannot outgrow the clarity of its leader. Today, she is helping SME founders move away from overwhelming daily operations and build companies that serve as assets of freedom rather than emotional prisons.
The Reality of the “Quiet Build”
Nothing about her path was linear, a fact she shares openly with the founders she mentors. Born and raised in Abu Dhabi in a middle-class Indian family, her early career was shaped by diverse, high-pressure environments. She worked in the technical trenches of the audiovisual and broadcast sectors, moved to quality control within a multinational oil and gas company, and eventually co-founded an ELV system integration company at just 24 years old.
From the outside, executing multi-million dollar projects and overseeing major installations across the UAE looked like a complete victory. But the internal cost was high.
“From the outside, entrepreneurship looks exciting,” she notes. “But behind the scenes, I went through financial setbacks, emotional exhaustion, uncertainty, and periods where I had to rebuild myself entirely from scratch.”
When the global pandemic hit just as she launched a new business, the market uncertainty tested every system she had put in place. Instead of closing shop, she pivoted. By bringing investors on board and transitioning from trading to manufacturing, she helped build Back to Nature Manufacturing, an eco-friendly brand that today exports to six countries across the GCC and Europe. She also partnered with Green Ard, a Dubai-based boutique firm specializing in premium sustainable packaging and compostable disposables.
Throughout this journey, an interesting pattern emerged. Fellow entrepreneurs, friends, and family members kept approaching her for the same reason: they needed a clear strategy to structure their businesses, solve overwhelming operational problems, or build magnetic brands. Over time, she realized this wasn’t just something she was good at. It was her real calling.
Moving From Chaos to Clarity
In 2024, she officially established Impact Wave Coaching & Consulting to address the exact structural and emotional vulnerabilities she experienced firsthand. Her philosophy is straightforward: “You do not grow a business by becoming more busy. You grow it by becoming more clear.”
Through her work, she emphasizes that most struggling business owners do not lack effort or motivation. Instead, they lack systems, accountability, and the strategic space needed to think clearly. Her commitment to sustainability isn’t limited to the eco-friendly products manufactured by her ventures. It extends to human sustainability. As an advocate who has spoken on sustainability at platforms related to Expo 2020 and COP28, she views a founder’s mental health as a vital corporate asset.
Having worked with over 25 startups, solopreneurs, and SMEs, her long-term goal is to positively impact the lives of 2,030 business owners by the year 2030.
True leadership, in her view, is about stepping out of the day-to-day chaos of operations so you can lead strategically again. By normalizing honest conversations around burnout, business psychology, and operational discipline, she is proving that a profitable business does not have to come at the expense of a peaceful personal life.
